Seussical the musical (2020)
Seussical was meant to be a live musical, but when COVID hit, Northwest Children’s Theater decided to move ahead with the title while trying to maintain the level of creativity and innovation that their in-person works contain. As I had worked there as an intern, I was recruited for the project as Co-Director, Cinematographer, and Editor. As director, I helped make decisions on set (the paper background signifying each location), costumes, and framing. My Cinematography credit encompasses the storyboarding of the whole show. Each mosaic/collage/collection of people onscreen was planned by myself, considering both the storytelling and music. As editor, I was the video editor for the entire project, marking the longest piece of videography I’ve ever completed.
92 degrees - segment of a longer news PIECE (2023)
While the complete video is not publicly available, the two minute segment I created is! I made this for my second-year Television course at University.
american dream by lcd soundsystem (2019)
This was a music video I directed and edited for my Film Directing class in my senior year of high school. It’s still a piece I treasure and while it’s a bit scrappy, I think it has a charm that I strive to keep in all of my work.
the starlings - the art of the bird (2019)
Since I spent all of my teenage years at Northwest Children’s Theater, it only made sense to base my high school documentary project on their bird puppet troupe. I feel that this is the first project where I began to explore visual aesthetics that I enjoy, and it shows.
